What Is a Kérastase Fusio Dose?
Kérastase Fusio Dose is a signature in-salon ritual from the Kérastase Professional range, designed to deliver a bespoke, concentrated treatment tailored to the exact needs of your hair on the day. It is not a single fixed product. It is a system that combines two components blended at the chair: a Concentré (a concentrated active treating a specific hair concern, from strength and bond support through to shine, nutrition, colour protection and scalp health) and a Booster (a targeted finishing layer that either amplifies the Concentré effect or addresses a secondary concern).
At Kohort, the Kérastase Fusio Dose Ritual is $50 per our treatment menu. It is one of our most popular add-on treatments because the result is instant, visible, and lasts up to eight washes. Hair leaves the salon with a genuinely glossy, soft, bouncy finish that photographs beautifully and holds up between appointments. For many clients, Fusio Dose is what makes the difference between a good blow-dry result and a great one.
The strength of Fusio Dose lies in its customisation. Rather than applying a single mask across every client, your stylist prescribes the Concentré and Booster combination that matches your hair on the day. If your hair is dry and thirsty, the Nutrition Concentré is prescribed. If your hair is fragile or recently lifted, the Reconstruction Concentré. If your colour is fading, the Chroma Concentré. If your scalp is showing signs of imbalance, the Densifique or Specifique Concentré. The Booster layer then fine-tunes the delivery, prioritising either shine, lightweight finish, rich nourishment or scalp comfort.
Fusio Dose is described on our treatment menu as a bespoke alchemy, and that is an accurate description. The ritual is mixed fresh at the chair, applied through damp hair, and processed for minutes rather than long sit-ins. The result is a refined, luminous finish with a soft bounce that sets Fusio Dose apart from standard in-salon masks.
Fusio Dose sits in our moisture and shine treatment tier alongside Davines Liquid Luster. The two treatments overlap in purpose but deliver different finishes. Fusio Dose is the more concentrated, deeper-working ritual with visible longevity. Liquid Luster is the lighter, surface-focused gloss refresh at $25. Your stylist will recommend based on what your hair needs on the day.
For the full treatment menu context, see our hair treatment hub page. For bonding, see our Olaplex and K18 treatment pages.
How KOHORT Approaches Kérastase Fusio Dose
Fusio Dose at Kohort is prescribed based on what your hair needs at consultation, not offered as a default upsell. Our stylists know the full Kérastase Fusio Dose range and will blend a Concentré and Booster combination specifically for your hair condition on the day.
The most commonly prescribed Fusio Dose combinations at Kohort include:
Nutritive for dry, thirsty hair, paired with a Soin Riche Booster for rich nourishment, or with a Shine Booster for a glossy finish on drier ends.
Reconstruction for damaged, lifted or fragile hair, paired with a Soin Force Booster for internal strength support, or with a Shine Booster for visible gloss on compromised hair.
Chroma for colour-treated hair, paired with a Shine Booster to lock in vibrancy and luminosity. This is our go-to Fusio Dose for recent colour clients.
Specifique or Densifique for scalp-focused concerns, paired with the appropriate Booster for scalp health support.
The application itself is straightforward but carefully executed. Hair is shampooed first. The selected Concentré is then applied from mid-lengths to ends (or roots to ends depending on the formulation) and combed through evenly. The Booster is applied on top. The formula is allowed to absorb for a short processing window, then rinsed out. Hair is towel-dried and styled as part of the broader appointment.
Fusio Dose pairs exceptionally well with colour services. Applied after a colour rinse and before finishing style, it delivers a shine and softness finish that elevates the overall result of the appointment. For balayage, foilayage and signature blonde clients, Fusio Dose is often booked as a standing add-on every six to eight weeks alongside colour refresh appointments.
For clients booking Fusio Dose as a standalone appointment without colour work, we ask that you also book a blow wave so your hair is shampooed, treated, dried and styled properly. Standalone Fusio Dose without finishing styling does not deliver the full visible result that makes the ritual so popular.
Fusio Dose is also a strong mid-cycle refresh treatment between colour appointments. Clients who book colour every ten to twelve weeks often schedule a Fusio Dose at week six to keep hair feeling fresh, glossy and well-nourished across the longer maintenance cycle.
Every stylist at Kohort is fluent in Fusio Dose prescribing. You can book Fusio Dose with any of our stylists as an add-on to a colour, cut, or standalone visit.

Kérastase Fusio Dose Process, What to Expect
1. Consultation
Your stylist looks at your hair dry, asks about recent colour, home routine and any shine, moisture or condition goals. A Concentré and Booster combination is prescribed.
2. Shampoo
Hair is shampooed, typically once, to remove product residue and open the cuticle for optimal Fusio Dose absorption.
3. Concentré Application
The selected Kérastase Fusio Dose Concentré is applied through damp hair, distributed evenly from mid-lengths to ends or roots to ends depending on the formula.
4. Booster Layer
The selected Booster is applied on top of the Concentré. This layer fine-tunes the delivery and amplifies specific attributes like shine or bond support.
5. Processing
Fusio Dose processes quickly. A short absorption window is allowed, typically five minutes, without the need for heat or processing equipment.
6. Rinse, Towel-Dry, Style
Hair is rinsed, towel-dried, and styled as part of the broader appointment. The Fusio Dose effect is visible immediately in the blow-dry.
7. Home Care Brief
Your stylist walks you through matching Kérastase home-care products that extend the Fusio Dose effect across the next eight washes.
Kérastase Fusio Dose Pricing at KOHORT

Aftercare for Kérastase Fusio Dose
Fusio Dose aftercare is about extending the eight-wash lifespan of the in-salon ritual with a compatible home routine.
Use a Kérastase home-care range matched to your prescribed Fusio Dose formula. If you had Chroma Fusio Dose, consider Kérastase Chroma Absolu or Blond Absolu at home. If you had Nutritive Fusio Dose, consider Kérastase Nutritive or Magistrale. If you had Reconstruction Fusio Dose, consider Kérastase Resistance. Your stylist will prescribe specifically based on your in-salon treatment.
Use a sulphate-free, sodium-chloride-free shampoo. Sulphates strip the Fusio Dose effect quickly and shorten the longevity of the treatment meaningfully. Kérastase's own range is sulphate-free and matches Fusio Dose directly.
Wash less. Three times a week is ideal. Every additional wash gradually releases the Fusio Dose effect.
Heat protect before any hot tool. Fusio Dose-treated hair holds up better to heat styling when protected.
Rebook a Fusio Dose every six to eight weeks, typically aligned with your colour refresh. For clients on a ten to twelve week colour cycle, a mid-cycle Fusio Dose at week six keeps hair feeling fresh across the longer maintenance window.
For clients with layered treatment protocols, Fusio Dose pairs particularly well with K18 or Olaplex bonding. The bonding treatment handles internal structure. Fusio Dose handles surface shine and moisture. Together they deliver a complete finish.
Who Kérastase Fusio Dose Is Ideal For
Fusio Dose at Kohort is ideal for anyone wanting an instant shine and moisture boost, for colour clients between major services, for clients with dry or thirsty ends, for fine hair that benefits from a lightweight concentrated treatment, for coarse hair that needs a targeted nourishment hit, for brides and event clients wanting photo-ready hair, and for anyone who wants their blow-dry to genuinely look better than it did when they walked in.
Colour clients are our biggest Fusio Dose demographic. The Chroma Concentré is specifically designed for colour-treated hair and extends vibrancy and luminosity between full colour services.
Fine-haired clients particularly love Fusio Dose because it delivers a visible shine and condition boost without the heaviness of a rich mask. The lightweight finish preserves volume while still delivering the full moisture hit.
Coarse, curly or thick hair responds strongly to the Nutritive or Reconstruction Fusio Dose formulations, which deliver deeper nourishment for hair types that need more.
Event and bridal clients love Fusio Dose as a photo-ready finish that holds up under flash photography and long evenings.
Fusio Dose may not be the primary recommendation for hair in active damage recovery where bond support is the priority. In those cases, K18 or Olaplex will be prescribed first, with Fusio Dose as a complementary finishing layer.
