Aftercare, Making Your Lived-In Blonde Last
Lived-in blonde is one of the lower-maintenance colour services on offer, but the rules still matter.
Wash less. Three washes a week is the target. Every extra wash pulls tone and reduces longevity.
Sulphate free shampoo only. Kérastase Blond Absolu is the go-to for cool tone maintenance. K18 peptide shampoo is our choice for guests with finer lifted hair. Davines Alchemic Silver is a solid purple shampoo for at-home tone control.
Purple shampoo weekly, not daily. Overusing purple shampoo leaves hair looking flat and over-toned. Once a week for three to five minutes is enough.
Weekly mask. Kérastase Masquintense Blond, Davines NouNou, or K18 Molecular Repair depending on what your ends need. Ask your stylist at your appointment which one fits your hair.
Heat protect every time. Lifted hair without heat protection is the fastest route to dull, brittle ends. Kérastase Nutritive Blow Dry Primer and Davines OI All In One Milk are two of our go-to heat protection picks.
